Mt Beauty Big hill was a wet’n’wild weekend and Liam was riding great all weekend. He had a big crash in qualifying coming into the first rock garden and qualified 14th.

Come finals he was on a cracker of a run when a snapped chain meant no pedaling for the last bit of the track, arguably the place where pedaling counted the most, Liam managed to roll and placed 3rd! Stay tuned pics and videos to follow….

he Victorian DH series round at Mt Taylor is done and dusted. Liam finished 1st in Elite Men aboard the Jezken Mk2! We are very happy with the result and there should be many more to come…Will have pictures up when I can get my hands on them. Congratulations Liam. I’ll get a short interview from him in the next couple of days on how the bike rides and what makes it different.

Been pretty busy last couple of weeks. I’ve been doing a lot of talking/riding/testing with Liam Panozzo (Cycling Aust. Profile). He has a lot of experience and we are very happy with how the bike is riding. I’ve attached a couple of pics from testing at Mt. Beauty on the weekend and will post up some helmet cam footage in the next couple of days.

Our first race will be at the Mt. Taylor round of the Victorian State Series next weekend. Liam will be racing and we are both very excited to see how everything goes.

Ive also been busy refining the design and machining parts for Mk3, I’m doing 5 bikes and they will be ridden by a couple of development riders and a couple of other lucky peeps!

Built up the frame over the weekend and took it for a spin on a fairly flat local hill. First up impression were – smooth! I’m not use to hearing my tyres over the rocks. No major issues, the frame has some squat under hard pedaling, but we should be able to tune that out with shock setup.

Here are a couple of pre cable routing pics:

Stay tuned, riding pics and vids coming soon!

Just a bit of an update, the new front end of the Jezken has been welded and I’m very happy with the welds – a big thanks to Rob Chaplin of RC Metalcraft for doing such a great job. I expect to have the heat treating and polishing done in the next couple of days – let the testing begin!

Also a big thankyou to Omega Technical Engineering for letting me use their CNC mill. Makes such a big difference using a real mill, a lot faster and easier!

Here is a post welding picture of the new front end:
